Our PatientsFirst time Patients First time patients normally contact the practice reception by telephone or in person. Suitable appointments can then be made to see the dentist as soon as possible. The first appointment is used for a thorough examination and a discussion of any treatment required, the cost, and the number of appointments necessary to make the patient dentally fit. Orthodontic cases are referred to the appropriate local specialists.
Emergencies Patients in pain or patients who require immediate treatment are always seen on the same day and at the first opportunity between treatment of regular patients. Our Approach Mrs Brown and her staff believe in a friendly approach to dentistry and encourage patients to discuss their dental problems. They will do their utmost to make patients feel welcome while calming any fears that they or their children may have. Mrs Brown and most of her female staff are mothers themselves, so its only natural that children of all ages are very welcome. The NHS Dentists and many patients have found that the rules and regulations governing NHS treatment are so restrictive that the dentist and the patient are often obliged to accept delays and materials and/or treatment that is not necessarily the only or the best for a given condition. Therefore the practice works independently of all NHS restrictions. Adult non-exempt patients are offered a 'Dental Health Plan'. This plan enables you, the patient, at a fee only slightly higher than the NHS charge, to discuss and select the treatment, materials and the cost that suits you best from the range that is available. THIS PRACTICE ONLY OFFERS NHS TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS IN THE EXEMPTION CATEGORIES
Private Care Patients that request hi-tech, partial or full dentures, extensive bridge work or tooth bleaching using sophisticated ultra modern materials may use Private Care that is available. |
